DVD Movie Review: Darjeeling Limited

Three brothers embark on a train trip through India to find spiritual peace and re-connection with each other. Francis (Owen Wilson) gathers his brothers that haven't spoken with each other since their father's funeral. Peter (Adrian Brody) and Jack (Jason Schwartzman) meet their brother Francis on a trip he has planned that Peter and Jack are not yet sure about, but fell they have to try.

The three embark on a journey through India trying to find themselves, deal with their father's death and their mother's frequent abandonment of them. Francis is a bossy control freak, Peter can't let go of his father and Jack is still reeling from a recent break-up.

The movie begins with some humor, in fighting and lust, but quickly takes a more of a spiritual and thoughful turn. The movie is well acted, moves well and the cinematography is beautiful. It provides just enough laughter and a good feeling that it is OK to let go, but never forget.

I happily give this movie: 3F
